Insufficient Merit? Whose?

Published by michaelr at 12:34 pm under biblical perspective-christian Edit This

As an opening to my first blog I would have you know that “Insufficient Merit” is part of a quote attributable to St. Augustine. The quote in its entirety is “The sufficiency of my merit is to know that my merit is insufficient.”

My first activity is to answer the question, Whose merit is insufficient? Besides the merit of the likes of St. Augustine, Mother Teresa, the current or any past pope and anyone else you can think of, these and all others do not have sufficient merit to earn salvation.
